Delete your account.

This page is for the Fakeout app by Lythronax. You can delete your Fakeout account, and everything stored with it, at any time. Do it in the app, or email us if you no longer have it.

In the app

  1. Open Fakeout and sign in.
  2. Tap Account at the top of the screen.
  3. Choose Delete account.
  4. Enter your password to confirm.

Your account is deleted straight away. If the password is wrong, nothing is deleted. Haven’t finished signing up? Tap Delete my account on the email check or profile screen.

NO APP?

Email us

Email us from the address you use to sign in, and say you want your Fakeout account deleted. We’ll reply to confirm, then delete it within one month.

What we delete

  • Your sign-in account: email address and password.
  • Your profile: name, year of birth, allergens, ingredients to avoid and favourite takeaways.
  • Your saved recipes.
  • The sign-in kept on your phone, when you delete in the app.

What we keep

Nothing from your account. It’s removed from Fakeout as soon as it’s deleted. Fakeout runs on Google Firebase, and Google may hold deleted data in its own system backups for a limited time before they’re overwritten.

If you email us, we keep your email only until we’ve confirmed your account is deleted.

Just want to clear some data?

You don’t have to delete your account. Unsave a recipe to remove it from Saved. To change or clear your allergens, ingredients and favourite takeaways, tap Account, then Your profile and allergens.
